Twelve Day/Night shift employees from local Distribution business – Pallet-Track – are leaving behind their normal duties to take part in an outdoor ‘Team Challenge’. Set up by Dudley Education Business Partnership, local business Pallet-Track were keen to make a difference to their local community school – Woodsetton Primary and give something back to make a visual and environmental difference.
The business volunteers have been busy hiring gardening equipment and pulling in resources to meet the challenge…
Nigel Parkes, Managing Director said "We didn't just want to donate money, and thought it a good idea for Pallet-Track employees to participate in the actual activity to make and see the difference. It's reported that organisations are receiving less funding, therefore we thought this a better way of contributing". Local contractors to Pallet-Track, SBS Building and Maintenance Ltd also agreed to donate manpower and Carver (Wolverhampton) Ltd kindly donated the use of tools for this worthy cause.
The volunteers will be on site over two days to clear and tidy an area of land on the school perimeter fencing with a view to opening up the nature reserve area so that the children of the school can see the fox cubs again.
