Classroom Medics Schools Health/Sport Awareness Event
Try the skills and equipment used in health, science and sport careers as well as seeing the physical effects of drugs, knives and solvent abuse. Activities will include:
- Meeting Stan the patient simulator and 'test dummy'. Pupils will be able to give Stan a range of drugs and see the effects in front of their eyes. They will be able to vote on what they think will happen next with an electronic voting system.
- Recording the electrical activity of their heart from an electrocardiogram and calculate the angle at which their heart sits in their chest.
- Exercise with a difference.... Staff will be able to get their heart beating dancing on the arcade style dance mats, testing their hand eye coordination on the Batak wall (very addictive) and racing each other on the special rowing machines. And much more................
This is an ideal opportunity for both primary and secondary school teachers to see the activities we deliver in our workshops when we visit schools to support PSHE, science, sport and health curricula.
